Get to Know A Troll in the House
A Troll in the House is a very approachable short story about one first responder's journey with PTSD. The use of a mischievous troll to represent trauma allows the reader to follow along the path of recognizing a trauma injury, trying to hide it, and eventually seeking help to find wellness once again.
The author, John Renaud, is a military veteran and police officer. This is the story of his experience, re-told with allegory and humour in a way that any military member, veteran, or emergency service worker can understand and relate to. This is also a story for any of their friends, family or loved ones too.
